Matriarchies and the Unconscious.

Rewatching The Social Dilemma and Coded Bias today with a friend, tied in thoughts that have arisen for me in reading The Great Cosmic Mother, and particularly our disconnect facilitated by internet connection. In accepting the world with which we are immediately presented with, through data and non subjective algorithms conditioning us over time, our screen time and attention is the “extractable resource”. Early on in The Great Cosmic Mother by Sjöö and Mor they look to pre-politicized societies, broadly, matriarchies. The thinking being that our “modern sickness is that of disconnection, the ego unable to feel an organic part of the World”, a problem formed when patriarchal ideals squashed traditional and foundational teachings of Earth, the Mother, and these pre-colonized matriarchies.
Our unconscious patterns are fluid, everyday we are conditioned a little bit more or a little less towards x, y, or z;, and our disconnect from Earth - from Mother - strengthens. Our unconscious used to be a “super-consciousness” in which the “ego dissolv[es] into the cosmic being of oneness”, now it is an exploitable resource that can be manipulated, mined, and persuaded. With patriarchal structures moving us away from oneness, connection, and understanding; daily actions of defiance against manipulation based technology need to occur on an individual basis, and ultimately in a legislative one.
(I would like to add that this in no way diminishes all the amazing things that mass social media have allowed us to achieve: reuniting long lost families, promoting small businesses, sharing memories with overseas family and friends... i ask of you to form your own opinions, partake in your own research, what you uncover will likely vary from person to person, based on location, contact, previous searches; but the active questioning begins to rewiring the mind to question information and things that are presented as facts).
